Lessons to Learn

1. When you find real friends, the ones to whom you could confess a murder to, you hold on to them. No matter the circumstances, no matter the faults, you hold on to them. Because that is what you call a family. One which is standing beside you no matter what you did, because family might fight with you, but it never abandons.

2. Loving someone doesn't always mean holding on. Sometimes it can also mean letting go. Not giving up, but just letting go. People say their time wasn't right, or that they weren't ready, but when love truly finds you, it also has a tendency of making everything fall into place again.

3. You never make your decisions as an outsider, as a third person. Because when you stand outside, you don't feel those emotions: the hurt, the love, the care that exists inside. The decisions made outside aren't yours, because they could be anyones. Afterall it doesn't take much to give opinions while standing outside, devoid of the very things that make you change your mind.

4. Forgiveness. People make mistakes. and they make lots of them. Some easily forgettable and some real sins. But when these are the people you believe in, regardless of what the world sees, and when these are the people who believed in you, you forgive. The world may have billions of people but it doesn't have enough ones who fit with you. So when someone really regrets, take a chance.

5. However close you are to someone, however deep your bond runs, you never know what's going on with them. You never know which demons haunt them when they sit in a lighted room. You never know which angels they call upon to save themselves.

6. Your family, blood or made, stands by you. Even if on days it feels as if they couldn't be farther away, they are always there. And they are going to be. They might go wrong, they might lose themselves, they might even lose you. But a family stays.

7. It's okay to apologise when you know in your heart that you were wrong. To apologise when you know you are wrong. To apologise when you know you could lose the person over a mistake you already realised. To apologise fashionably late than never. Because maybe this was just the thing they were holding on to.

8. When you love, you love wholly. You love with your everything because some kinds of love only come into your life once.

9. Wherever you start off from, however unsaveable you were, you can always turn your life around. You can always take hold of things around you. You can always find your inner selves.

10. Whatever you do, wherever you end up, never lose yourself. Never lose the one thing that made you you. Humans change and evolve, but some characteristics, the good ones, they are the ones brought up in conversations to talk about you...don’t lose them.

11. Life figures itself out. Or atleast you do. And people might end up in the ways they weren't supposed to. But they do end up in the ways they were meant to and the ways they deserve. Because life ultimately figures itself out.
